Showers are expected for Friday and Saturday, with highs of 20 degrees Celsius. It will slowly become warmer into next week, with highs of 22 degrees Celsius predicted for next Thursday. The Observatory previously forecast that average temperatures this winter and in early spring would be “normal to slightly higher than normal.” The number of cold days – during which the daily minimum temperature falls to 12 degrees Celsius or below – is expected to be within the “normal” range of nine to 17 days. In 2025, the Observatory logged only six “cold days” – 9.2 days fewer than the average recorded between 1991 and 2020.
