BlackRock ramps up global crypto hiring with senior digital assets roles across U.S., Europe and Asia

20th December 2025 – (New York) BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has advertised a raft of leadership and specialist vacancies to expand its global digital assets operations, according to postings on the firm’s careers site. The hiring drive, announced on LinkedIn by Robert Mitchnick, BlackRock’s global head of digital assets, spans the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Ireland, with roles ranging from associate to managing director.

Openings include Digital Assets Associate (New York and London), Managing Director, Digital Assets (New York and Singapore), Managing Director and Head of Research, Digital Assets (New York), Vice President/Director, Digital Assets Product Strategist (New York and San Francisco), Associate, Fund Services — Digital Asset Tokenisation (Wilmington, San Francisco and Boston), EMEA Digital Assets Lawyer, Vice President (London), Vice President, Financial Crime Compliance, Digital Assets (London), and Financial Crime Associate — Cash Funds, Digital Assets & Tokenisation (Dublin). Job descriptions indicate responsibilities across crypto assets, stablecoins and tokenisation. Associate roles typically seek three to six years’ experience, while senior leadership posts call for more than 12 years.

A New York–based Managing Director position carries a salary range of US$270,000 to US$350,000 and entails overseeing and executing multiple major cross‑functional digital asset initiatives across the firm. BlackRock said employees are expected to be in the office at least four days a week, with one day remote.

BlackRock is currently the largest issuer of both Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange‑traded funds and last year launched the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund, the first tokenised fund on Ethereum. The Street was first to report the recruitment push.
