22nd December 2025 – (Hong Kong) The century-old Cantonese teahouse brand Lin Heung Lau, renowned for its traditional trolley-served dim sum and nostalgic Hong Kong décor, is expanding its footprint with a third outlet in Mong Kok. Already operating popular branches in Central and Tsim Sha Tsui, the group has confirmed that its new venue, Lin Heung Kui, will commence soft opening on 23rd December, with special discounted tea charges for senior diners during designated hours.

Lin Heung Lau, regarded as one of Hong Kong’s classic “old school” teahouses, has long attracted both local patrons and tourists seeking an authentic yum cha experience. The Central and Tsim Sha Tsui branches are noted for their hand-pushed dim sum carts, vintage interiors and a menu that highlights time-honoured favourites such as crab roe siu mai, signature Lin Heung har gow, lotus seed paste buns, fish maw and shark’s fin dumplings in soup, and quail egg siu mai. The Tsim Sha Tsui restaurant operates around the clock, serving freshly made hot dim sum 24 hours a day.

Following a brief closure, the Central flagship at Wellington Street reopened at its original site in 2024. In June this year, Lin Heung Lau further expanded with a 24-hour branch on Kimberley Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. Building on this renewed momentum, the brand has now turned its attention to Mong Kok. The new Lin Heung Kui outlet has launched an official social media page and formally announced that trial operations will begin on 23rd December, with daily opening hours running from 6am until midnight.

Situated on Sai Yeung Choi Street South in the heart of Mong Kok, the new restaurant will offer handmade, nostalgic-style dim sum from early morning through to late evening. As part of its launch campaign, Lin Heung Kui is introducing a limited-time promotion for seniors: holders of the Government’s JoyYou Card who visit during specified time slots can enjoy tea charges of just HK$2 per person, with no additional 10% service charge applied. Full details of the eligible periods and terms are provided in the promotional materials published by the restaurant.
