23rd December 2025 – (Hong Kong) A graphic video circulating widely on Hong Kong social media shows a group of three assaulting a teenage girl in shorts, prompting widespread condemnation online. In the 15‑second clip, which began spreading on 20th December across X (formerly Twitter) and other platforms, a man is seen pinning the victim to the floor and repeatedly slapping her head while shouting profanities. Two women, acting alongside him, are shown forcefully kicking the girl in the head, legs and buttocks, yelling at her to “mind her own business”. The victim writhes in pain and shields her head. At least two people seated on a sofa nearby are visible in the footage but appear to make no attempt to intervene.
Commenters described the scenes as “sickening” and “barbaric”, with many questioning why the person filming did not step in. Some online users claiming knowledge of those involved alleged the man and the victim are in a relationship and suggested the abuse was “consensual” and not the first incident. That claim drew sharp rebuttals from others, who argued that violence is unacceptable in any circumstance or relationship.
In one segment of the clip, the assailant stands to deliver heavier blows to the victim’s head, again hurling expletives, before briefly losing balance and dropping to one knee, then continuing the attack with his other hand. A woman in pink appears to press the victim with questions; a female voice can be heard saying “no”, though the speaker is unclear. The assault continues until the end of the video.
Based on the assailants’ Putonghua accents and clothing, some viewers speculated the incident occurred on the Mainland. However, the clip’s origin and exact location have not been independently verified. Authorities have not released official details, and it remains unknown whether any police report has been filed.
