19th December 2025 – (Hong Kong) Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Alice Mak, has announced that the government has applied to the Lands Tribunal to dissolve the existing incorporated owners’ management committee of Wang Fuk Court. In a statement, Mak said the administration is seeking a court order to formally disband the current committee and appoint Hop On Management Company Limited – a property management firm under the Chinachem Group – as the interim manager.
The temporary management body will be tasked with overseeing all post-disaster management and recovery work at Wang Fuk Court. According to the government, Hop On Management Company Limited has agreed to undertake these responsibilities without charging any administrative fees.
